The Alicona cobot range is based on the combination of a collaborative 6-axis robot and the robust optical 3D measurement sensor IF-SensorR25, delivering high resolution, traceable and repeatable measurements. Collaborative systems are tailored to the individual measurement task and application. Programming and measuring as well as handling of pre-defined measurement programs require no prior knowledge of metrology. Cobots run in both manual and automatic mode and can be optimally integrated into an existing production line. Users verify surface state as well as dimensional accuracy of components by measuring distances, angles, form deviations and position tolerances.
New Cobots that are proven in the field are the DiscCobot to measure turbine discs, and the ToolCobot, which is applied to measure tools also directly in the machine. The CompactCobot is a universal solution applicable in all industries to measure micro structured surfaces of large components.

This is made possible by manually guided, intuitive operating elements used to teach a sequence of measurements, automatic measurement evaluation, and high safety.
High Mobility and Flexibility – Direct Measurement on the Machine Tool

DiscCobot: Quality evaluation of the Break Edges
The DiscCobot is used to ensure the quality of symmetrical and large, rotationally symmetrical parts, weighing up to 120 kg. In particular, the Cobot is applied to the standard evaluation of break edges. By verifying the minimum radius, it prevents sharp edges that could, in the worst-case scenario, compromise aircraft safety. The DiscCobot is utilized in the aircraft industry to measure. Example: turbine casings and turbine disks, as well as in other tool industries, such as measuring the cutting edge of saw blades, etc.
TurbineCobot: Automatic high-resolution measurement of complex surfaces
The TurbineCobot is used for the automatic measurement of break edges on turbine casings, including up to 500 positions, and is guided to the measuring machine automatically.
CompactCobot: The universal solution for industrial quality assurance
While the existing TurbineCobot and DiscCobot are application-specific solutions for the tool and aerospace industries, the new CompactCobot is the universal solution applicable to all industries for verifying the surface condition and dimensional accuracy of large components.
